Reading "Rute User's Tutorial and Exposition" (http://www.gnoppix.org/pages/rute/rute.html) I came upon this gem of a quote:

"The Alt modifier is not case insensitive although some applications will make a special effort to respond insensitively."

Can you guess it's a book about Unix?
