Can anyone tell me anything about GCC 4.0? Has anyone tried it? I read on /. (I know) that it's basically 3.4 with some penalties in speed; but I haven't tried it myself so I don't know.

Any thoughts?

Hi OP, if you still here after 8 years, I recommend you to use Clang instead of GCC.

GCC is shit.
