C compilers

This is newbie of me but I just want some opinions. I've searched for a compiler but I feel overwhelmed and confused on what's the best to use.

So.. my question is; What in your opinion is a good compiler to use for fooling around in C?

 hi every im new!!!!!!! *holds up spork()* my name is _^katy but u can call me t3h C_u^D_d^Er oF d00m!!!!!!!! lol...as u can see im very ^EXPERT!!!!  thats why i came here, 2 meet EXPERT PROGRAMMERS like me ^_^... i like 2 ^read _SICP w/ my girlfreind (im bi if u dont like it deal w/it) its our
 favorite book!!! bcuz its SOOOO EXPERT!!!! shes EXPERT 2 of course but  i want 2 meet more EXPERT PROGRAMMERS =) like they say the more the merrier!!!!
