The public healthcare that Obongo has implemented you FORCES you to pay for health insurance, lest you get financially penalized until you do so. It's the worst fucking kind of socialism. I'd much rather have free healthcare for everyone with the funding being taken from taxes.

As would I. Problem is, when that was being proposed, the GOP had a huge shitfit over it. As a compromise to this, Bob Dole's old plan from 1995 was brought up, retro-fitted and passed as Obamacare. GOP is still not satisfied even with a plan that was originally their own as an alternative from when Clinton was proposing a universal healthcare law.

The reason Obama didn't go with a single payer system like many of our allies is because the GOP/Corporations would not allow this. They threw a total shit fit. This is where all the Obama is a socialist talk came from. They found that calling Obama a socialist was so politically rewarding they continues to call him a socialist after he compromised and game them the heritage funds /mitt romneys heathcare plan. Now we have a shitty plan. This goes to show you compromising is not always the best answer sometimes you need to do what is right. FYI Obama is a centrist if you know anything about socialism or Marxism he is far from one.

I live in Seattle and when Obamacare was implemented my healthcare plan was cancelled. The deductible of my new plan is twice as much as it was before, and my monthly payment is 1.5x what it was before. My new plan was the most comparable to my old plan, except now I am paying for maternity, mental health, and chemical dependency, none of which I needed before. But now that Obamacare made me crazy and drove me to self medicate my depression, it sure is nice having.
