A woman in China murdered her husband and boiled the corpse to cover her tracks after he abused her and her daughter.
The woman drugged the man, her second husband, and tortured him for three days in June by withholding food and water and beating him, causing his death, said a report on government-backed news portal Anhui News yesterday.
She then dismembered the corpse with a saw and boiled the parts in a pressure cooker to hide the evidence, the report added.
It did not detail how she disposed of the cooked flesh afterwards.
The psychological burden of the crime proved too much for her to bear, causing her to lose over 6kg and turn herself in according to the report.
A police officer in Anhui province's Lu'an City, where the incident occurred, confirmed the case to AFP, but declined to give further details.

Mursi to stand trial for inciting murder
CAIRO - Egypt's chief prosecutor has ordered ousted president Mohamed Mursi and other Muslim Brotherhood leaders to stand trial on charges including inciting murder, state media reported.
Separately, an Egyptian judicial advisory panel said the Muslim Brotherhood's registration ran afoul of the law, raising the possibility it could be dissolved.
A Cairo administrative court postponed until Nov 5 a hearing on the possible dissolution of the group.
The latest developments appear to extinguish hope of a political resolution that would bring the Brotherhood out from underground and back into the political process.
The authorities, who allege that Mr Mursi stoked deadly clashes outside his palace in December, did not detail the evidence against him on Sunday. There is no public record of statements he may have made to incite violence.
The charges lodged against him and 14 of his aides and colleagues relate to one of the darkest periods of his presidency. Last December, thousands of demonstrators gathered in front of the presidential palace in Cairo to protest against a presidential decree that expanded his powers and an Islamist-drafted Constitution.
In the fatal clashes that broke out, Mr Mursi's Islamist supporters were accused of abuses including interrogating and beating dozens of their opponents, detaining some for hours with their hands bound.
No date has been set for the trial. Since his ouster on July 3, Mr Mursi has been detained at a secret location without formal charges.

Not for the faint of heart
Most people love to get spooked. This probably explains the countless ghost offered in many cities the world over, like London.
In a discussion about London's ghost tours, the name Whitechapel is infamous not for being haunted - but for shadowy figure named Jack the Ripper, as well as being the crime scene of a spate of gory murders in the 19th century.
Also known as "The Whitechapel Murderer" and "Leather Apron", Jack the Ripper was a killer who butchered victims in Whitechapel in 1888. The pseudonym was derived from a letter written by someone claiming to be the murderer. It became widely used when the letter, now thought to be a hoax, was circulated in the media.
But the fact that no less than 11 murders were committed from 1888 to 1891 in London's impoverished East End is a very real one. Out of these murders, Jack the Ripper is generally believed to be responsible for five of them that occurred in 1888, as the five murders had a similar modus operandi - all victims were prostitutes, were disembowelled and had missing organs. Jack was never caught, and to this date the grisly murders remain unsolved.
Depending on who you book your tour with, you might get a slightly different experience, but the general outline of the Jack the Ripper Tour is the same. The tour begins at 7 pm at night, starting at Aldgate East underground station. You will taken on a walk through Whitechapel's historic streets, and the various spots where the five victims' bodies were found. You will also learn about the history of the area, as well as the frantic police hunt that followed, which resulted in a shortlist of over 100 suspects. You might even be given clues about the identity of the killer!
Some tours have extras. Your tour guide may give away copies of the Jack the Ripper story, show gruesome photographs of the bodies, or use handheld projectors to enhance your experience. Most tours include a visit to the Ten Bells Pub, the famous watering hole where two of Jack's victims, Annie Chapman and Mary Jane Kelly, were supposed to have drunk at and picked up customers - before they were brutally murdered.
