We should really just skip out the middle man and have our government rape and murder women. Maybe you should be looking to fix the problem of ineffective government protection as well as personal defence. I also think non-lethal options of self defense could also be a viable option, plus looking to reduce the offender rates would also be far more effective than arming people would ever be. Education, rehabilitation of criminals, reducing stigma of reporting rape, reducing poverty and providing a social safety net would all be much better option than going round handing a gun to everyone in sight.
A lot of people on 4chan seem to fall into this just world fallacy, where things wouldn't happen to them or their loved ones cause the are prepared and have guns and would act much better in the situations. But in reality it is inevitable that people will get raped assaulted and murdered, the only thing we can do is look to minimise the occurrence of these things and there is no evidence to suggest arming people will aid this.
