Job searching hell

Name: Anonymous 2012-10-16 20:26

There are plenty of jobs available in America.
The reality is that there are too many barriers now to get to those jobs [especially if you are a citizen].

Not only do we need reliable transportation to get to these places that buses can't reach but we also need a degree from a school that doesn't teach anything about the job we seek, a certification that expires before we can get interviewed to said job and volunteer history to a place that may never pay us to cover the expenses from all of these papers filed. HOW MUCH FREE LABOR , FREE DATA, OIL CORPSES AND FREE CASH DO WE NEED TO PRESENT TO THESE GREEDY BASTARDS BEFORE WE CAN BE ALLOWED TO WORK FOR THEM?

This is unacceptable and you know it. I'm not being partisan here, but some asshole will turn it into that.

He should do what any self-respecting person would do and spend every day of his unemployment phoning and going to businesses, asking if they have vacancies. Nothing says pro-active more than turning up in person to an establishment and enquiring about job openings, you will instantly stand out against every other joe who just filled out the online application with copy pasta.

If you're in a city, buy a cheap second-hand bicycle for transportation. It will give you energy and save you shit loads of money.

If you don't have the skills to be where you want, take as many part-time jobs to get close to full-time employment and consider night school.

Sound like too much work? Fuck you, you don't deserve nice things if that's your attitude.
