This is barely a victory. Now we have to put up with people who will take this as an official sanction to use assburger syndrome to get out of shit. May should have just told American to stop being so fucking butthurt that a "hacker" got access to their government network because some jackass made a user account with a BLANK PASSWORD. The USA should be thanking him and paying him for his services in closing a major hole in their security before anyone with malicious intent got in.

To deter someone from doing the same? If anything they should be encouraging powerless civilians to do this, so they get to holes in security before anyone with malicious intent does like you said.
