The government openly censors the truth on multiple topics. It's so open that it couldn't possibly be called a conspiracy theory.
Whistle blowers are hunted and their informers locked in solitary confinement, naked and chained for over a year while war crimes go unpunished,
Torture is legal and operatives openly destroy evidence about torture cases where the result is death.
Bills like SOPA actually get considered and the president refuses to veto it.
