Christian hate of Islam

Name: Anonymous 2012-08-17 23:13

With the little stir created with that US Muslim woman, a thought popped into my head...
Yes, like most religions, Christianity is fundamentally peaceful.  I know that much.

What is it about the Jewish nations and peoples hating Muslims in general so much?
Christians accept Muhammad as a prophet, but Muhammad was the LAST prophet, so he deserves more attention and stuff, so it can't just be the Muslim-following aspect.
Is it just that they associate Muslims with the Middle Eastern world?  Or maybe still just something passed down ever since the Crusades?

I don't see why you mention the West specifically, all nations take part of this kind of behaviour. Name me a country where there isn't a large chunk of the population who speaks of the "evils" of foreigners. Every country has their xenophobes who are desperate to belong to something bigger than their worthless lives, so they try to give themselves worth by identifying as a "patriot" of their chosen country.

Of course, the group wouldn't mean anything if they let everyone in so they must exclude outsiders and assigning blame to them just helps things along. It's ridiculous because, for example, any two random American and Russian has no actual reason to dislike each other, neither has ever done anything to personally harm the other but xenophobia demands an ever present enemy to bind everyone in the group together.

What's even more ridiculous is that all xenophobes can't all be correct in thinking that all foreigners are evil. If anyone actually thought about that for a second they'd begin to doubt their motivation.

There are so many examples of this kind of strife because people are terribly insecure.
