Is the internet making me racist?

Name: Anonymous 2012-07-04 16:26

I just can't shake the feeling... I was raised by social-democrats so the idea that everybody isn't equal was completely taboo, but as I'm growing older I'm starting to see that perhaps things aren't that simple.

Perhaps racism isn't the correct word. Perhaps it should be called "culturalism". I'm against the idea that our culture is equivalent to other cultures... That we are no better than an Arab who feels like it's his god-given right to hit his woman or marry off his daughter. The bushman who thinks he has to cut of the clitoris. That Indian man who can only marry within his caste... It's insulting! OF COURSE our culture is better than their culture! It's fucking obvious if you ask me!! but why is this so taboo?

Why can't we just say that a person who actually believes that Jesus walked on water... that he actually walked on water or multiplied bread or some other nonsense like that... it's so ridiculous! Why can't we all grow up and call those people what they are? They're primitives!

It's so fucking obvious. There's an arrow of civilization, go back in time and people are more and more primitive, doing more and more dumb and superstitious shit. Why the fuck should I feel guilty for being civilized? Why should I pander to the interests of superstitious idiots who believe in a personal creator? In angels, demons?! What the fuck is with that?

So, enough of that. I will no longer apologize. I will be proud. My culture is superior and in as much as it's not I'll fucking change it so that it can remain superior. RATIONALISM FUCK YEAH
