Last I heard, most people don't become police out of any insane urge to be willingly dancing puppets of an psycho-fascist evil empire fit to make Hitler look like a pot-smoking hippie, or any of that bullcrap. Really. They want to uphold order and catch crooks and criminals. And killing one of them makes you a crook and a criminal in their book, and so they will never listen to you.

And that's not even scratching the surface of the field day that the media will have, owned by the Evil Empire as they actually all are, telling the whole world and its population how bad you are, and how you are the one that must now be taken out, and how you are the one that must be stripped of even more rights. Like, say, the right to be heard rather than have (their) words put into your mouth.

Who here has never even heard of children playing some form of «police and robber»? Why do you think they do that?
The bit where coppers are heroes, has been deeply ingrained in Sheeple culture everywhere. The media's evil overlords would love nothing more than to use that to vilify you and pit the world against you.


tl;dr:
- Most coppers ain't evil, they've just been fed one side of the story. Usually that of the Evil Empire.
- Killing coppers not only makes you their enemy, it proves the Evil Empire to be right about you. Hence the Reichstag reference.

- Making friends with individual coppers forces them to put a friendly face on their Designated Enemy when that day comes. More importantly, it gives you an avenue to sneak in your message that we ain't the bad guys.


Srsly, just try and actually tell the coppers that; we ain't the bad guys. More importantly, prove it.
