Obama: Bank Bailouts and Gay Rights Fight are in Line With Jesus' Teachings

Obama says that the challenges facing the United States required him to listen to God and that he prays every morning
and has crafted elements of his economic policies in line with  Jesus' teachings and caring about poor and marginalized people. In response to this hypocrisy, Texas governor inquired how the fight for gay rights throughout the world at US expense fits Jesus' teachings.

How is a fight for gay rights around the world expensive to the US? To my knowledge, none of the wars we're fighting and none of our economic policies have to do with gay rights. The fight for gay rights simply has to do with social policy here within the US. Sounds to me like the Governor of Texas is an idiot.

Jesus never said anything for or against homosexuality. Other parts of the Bible are very anti-gay. Anyone who says otherwise has never read it. Gay marriage should be legal, but churches that do not support it should not be forced to have the ceremonies in their churches. There are plenty have churches that have expressed a willingness to house gay marriage ceremonies. This is my position because I support a libertarian view of this particular issue. I thing homosexuality is gross, but it does not harm me or anyone else if gays get married. They are human beings, obviously.
