>First Bachmann
>Then Perry
>Then Cain
>Then Newt
>Then Santorum (only took them 48 hours, they're getting really good)
>Then Huntsman (for New Hampshire)
>Finally Romney (for Nomination)

Why think when Fox News can tell you what to think and how to vote?

tell that to Iowa.

can't blame them though, they probably work 14-hour shifts in their blue-collar jobs, and are just so mentally and physically exhausted that they have to be spoon-fed their thoughts, beliefs, and "ideas"

God damn society.  Is there really no way out? besides killing myself of course.

Yes, through science. The sooner you let go of the "I MUST PROVE I AM A NON-CONFORMIST TO STICK IT TO ALL THOSE WHO DOUBTED ME" attitude, sigh and decide to play the system to do what's best (advance technology), the sooner you can start accomplishing something, or at least hold back the tide a little longer and die knowing you weren't that much of a schmuck.

Besides, if you look into it there is a very realistic opportunity for humanity to be surpassed, already computer software and various industries have reached a level of complexity similar to that of living organisms and for the past 200 years technology has changed the world completely, even if it is dependent on fossil fuels. Considering how much energy from the sun and geothermal activity in the earth reaches the land surface area of the planet that we inhabit, even if we harnessed 0.01% of that energy we'd have unrestricted growth, so that may not actually be much of a problem.

Not sure how else I can prove to you that the science route is worthwhile.. I'll just leave you with these links from Inurdaes, a tripfag from /sci/, and answer any questions if you reply.

Inurdae's links are about reversing ageing, just one of the things science may be able to accomplish in the near future. You also need to understand how to play the system to get the resources you need for research of course, I realize this may be difficult for a cynic, if you are one, if you're not I apologize, if you are then I'll say I don't blame you and I'm also guilty of thinking that way, but that cynicism is not realism. Anyway, here are some more useful links in that department.
