War on drugs? NOT GOOD ENOUGH

Name: Anonymous 2011-12-11 21:46

The war on drugs is designed to protect people from themselves. If we throw anybody who wants to harm themselves for fun in prison, they will be safe from themselves. This is one of the best ideas in the history of the free world, however it is not good enough!

People are still allowed to put their lives in danger without any punishment! When someone goes rock climbing, spelunking, cliff diving, or parkour they are literally just risking their lives for some kind of CHEAP ADRENALINE HIGH. It's disgusting how little their own lives mean to them, putting themselves in harm's way just for a little bit of fun. Don't they understand society owns their body? It's not their body, or their choice. However banning the 'hard', deadly sports is not good enough, we need to ban any activity that could possibly put anyone in any kind of danger. This would include the 'soft' sports like tennis or ping pong, those wrist or ankle sprains can hurt! This would also ban driving, trans fat, fast food, house hold cleaning chemicals and all sorts of things.

Remember, the world is meant to be safe, not fun! A person who puts themselves in harms way, even if it doesn't put anyone else in danger, for temporary pleasure should not be allowed to get away with it. We need a 'War on anything dangerous'! Liberty and freedom are overrated, we need to have a safe society.

(If you haven't realized it I'm not being serious. I'm just pointing out the stupidity of the war on drugs and how we try and protect people from themselves.) :D
