Nope. Putin is liberal and pro-west. Every politician, endorsing capitalism, open market and open economy, is pro-west. And Russia has no advantages with open economy, because:
1. open economy favors established players, like US and EU
2. Russia has abundance of raw resources, which act as a corruption catalyst - elites start caring only about resource extraction, instead of developing local economy.
3. producing anything on the territory of Russia is unprofitable, due to climatic disadvantages - it's easier to sell resources to China, instead of consuming them yourself.
Basically, capitalism is the enemy of Russia. There won't be happiness till Russians destroy capitalism and liberalism.
