I hear there are some new players in town - a leaderless, loosely organized group.
I hear they never forgive, and never forget,
and that you should expect them.
They're apparently called Adbusters.

I went to the local gathering. Bunch of moronic leftists. I say that as a moderate. Lord of .people shouting that capitalism is the .problem amd tefhsing to wprk together. The movement in walk street likely has a larger intellectual backing, but I felt embarrassed standing around them here (rva).

Went to anti-capitalist meeting.
Heard anti-capitalist views.
Felt embarrassed because he thought there was going to be capitalists there.
Vows to start his own CAPITALIST anti-Wall Street campaign.
...called something like "Get an OCCUPATION at Wall Street".

Now that I think about it, Occupy Wallstreet is to liberals as the Tea Party is to conservatives: batshit insane off-shoots of big factions that you don't want to be involved with.

Except #occupy was originally about ending government giving special treatment to corporations, not against capitalism

And Occupy Wallstreet is about genuine anger over the hijacking of the economy by banks and brokers. But all the media want to do is cover the hippies and media whores like Tim Robbins, because the real message would be a threat to their attention deficit viewers' worldview.

Am I missing something here?

Derp, yeah I blasted that off on my phone, didn't check for typos.

That actually is my reaction. I've been thinking about trying to get non-socialist liberal solidarity in my local scene. But unfortunately this city is way overpopulated by anarchists, socialists, and radical libertarians (like nearly an-cap).
Pretty funny to see the media erutpt in a bunch of crap about this and people THINK these are one thing... the 58% or whatever counter argument is being sent to them as pictures by individuals with pieces of paper saying 58% or whatevever and and that they aren't complaing even theough blah blah blah working moeny tight blha blah not complaining even thouh its tough etc.
And they are getting 99% piece of paper back with stories and finding out they all have stories they can more or less IDENTIFY with
derp, polarization fail! They wrote in to bash and found out the people they were bashing sounded a lot like themselves, even many had jobs go figure they pay taxes too (even lots) theres more than one person there, on both sides of the polarization effort

That was what the tea party was originally about.
I heard OWS fags are making a mess. They are literally shitting the place up. I get the feeling these are the same fags that protested the wars and then suddenly disappeared when we had a black president with 3. It's really just about politics.
Get a job hippies.

CNN broadcast a story today on how that's the opposite of the truth. The OWS is organized, has trash and sanitation functioning, operates a field kitchen and field medical facility and has even set up a lending library of donated books.
Just another lie Big Banker is telling you to discredit the first real threat to their monopoly in years. Don't believe everything "you heard".

It's where a pack of people who have 401k and other trading accounts went to Wall Street and told them SHAME SHAME SHAME for being so predatory about filling their 401k and other trading accounts with money. No, wait, wait, they only said the first part (SHAME SHAME SHAME for being so predatory) but omitted the last part (filling their 401k and other trading accounts with money).
So they are just hypocrites and morons, and Wall Street isn't going to change in the slightest as a result. Wall Street only listens to money, and the MONEY of the protesters tells Wall Street to "continue with business as usual".
For the "Occupy Movement" to get any ground at all it needs a singular demand. Right now everyone has different view points as to what they believe the movement is about and what they want out of it. And this man in this video has got the right idea. This is what the single demand of the "Occupy Movement" should be.

Bullshit, there's far too many things wrong to bargain with an entirely corrupt system for a singular 'demand'. OWS needs to be the foundation for a lasting and genuinely popular movement for a complete restructuring of society and the political system.

Tea Party
Peacefully protest for freedom from Government, do it in front of the government like they are supposed to, inform everyone they are going to be there, clean up after themselves, vilified by the media.
Occupy Wall Street
Flashmob uprising, disrupt traffic and hard working taxpayers from getting to their jobs, campaign for more government, create a mess and are lauded by the media and the likes of reddit.
