It's been said that pirating music is destroying the music industry.

It's also been said that pirating child porn is helping the child porn industry.

I don't get it that.
How does that work?
They can't both be right.

OP, they are completely different "industries". They don't work the same way. You can't make generalizations like that and expect them to always hold true. But I assume you know that and are just being a smartass. Carry on with your trolling.

The CP ``industry'' has no one to pay for ads and lobbyists to keep the government and people on it's side.

Really though, piracy isn't destroying the music industry, it's destroying the record label industry (actually, given the profits they've been having, not even that). There are many amateur musicians who shit up youtube with their crappy music, just as there are amateur child pornographers who make crappy CP. The people that are hurt by pirating ``CP'' is the mafia who actually produces the hardcore CP, and the non-nude pics of kids that aren't technically porn, but are clearly meant to be fapped to.

Piracy does nothing to harm the amateur musicians or child pornographers, but does hurt the record labels and large CP producers who make it for a profit.

you can't legally buy cp, therefore free downloading isn't "hurting" the "legal cp industry" because there isn't one

in AMERICA, it's illegal to buy, sell, distribute, or possess any kind of material featuring people under the age of 18 having any kind of sex.

In foreign countries, the age of consent is lower sometimes as low as 12.
So watching a video of a 12 year old girl having sex in Mexico is okay.

Sometimes the age of consent is 18, but POSSESSION of child porn is lega.
Just try not to produce, sell, or distribute it, cause that's illegal.

Of course if your American, don't even think of travelling to foreign countries to buy/possess child porn.
It's illegal whether you do that stuff on American soil or foreign soil, even if it is legal in foreign countries.
