General Maslov states in his report, though, his concern over this drill is “heightened” due to last months nuclear attack on the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) branch of the intercontinental military tunnel complex between Washington D.C. and Denver, and which we reported on in our 24 August report Russia Reports Nuclear Explosions Hit Vast US Military Tunnel Network.
Why didn't I hear about this?

I went on USGS. There was a 5.8 quake outside of Richmond, VA. On August 23, at 5:51 pm. Could this be one of the tunnels mentioned by the Russians? They said there was something going on that day.
Yeah, just a drill... hopefully. I'm thinking I need to stock up on bottled water. I smell something fishy going on.

It was just a minor 5.8 nuclear attack - we get those every other month.
Underground nuclear detonations don't release radiation into the atmosphere. Could a nuke detonated underground cause a 5.8 quake?

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richter_magnitude_scale the Richter scale conversion of a 5.8 quake into a weapons detonation would be around 10kt. 10kt is by no means a large weapon, it's actually classified as a "low yield" weapon. Elsewhere online I'm seeing such an item described as small enough to carry.
This makes sense to me, since anything larger would be overkill, too large/heavy to move.

Didn't you hear Alex Jones talking about it last week? America got nuked, probably an inside job.

I'm afraid to go near his website. But I'm not surprised he mentioned it.

We live in an age of heavy surveillance. I try to exercise caution with what sites I visit and what I download. I don't want to be blacklisted or anything.

Visiting a comedy site isn't going to get you blacklisted. Some of Alex Jones' material is hilarious. His stuff on chemtrails cracks me up every time.
