Nature of Antisemitism

Antisemitism is just hatred of capitalism.
The Nazis suggested that the Jews were in control of all the major banks and basically pulled the strings, making them the symbol of the wealthy elites, the banks and businessmen with a disproportional amount of wealth and power. The Jews were the very symbol of internationalist imperialism. Ask the leaders of the old left-wing radical groups such as the RAF.

The Nazi party itself might not have been leftist, but it certainly started out that way. They even retained a touch of socialism even as Hitler took charge, purged the commies from his party, embraced corporatism and bent over backwards to receive funding from big business. I think that is what people mean when they say "Hitler was a Jew".

Back then, just like today, the war was not between left or right, white or black, rich or poor, but between nationalism and internationalism.

And then there's the working principle of hate-crime: The victim (target) must always be wrong.

This is easiest to spot with classic, low-life racism. When the $THEM are coming to $HERE and getting a job while $ME remains unemployed (or stuck in a dead-end job), then the $THEM are «stealing our jobs». When the $THEM can't find a job and end up on social benefits, then they are «useless free-loaders every last one». Spot one in a jail cell, and they're «all low-life criminal scum».

Then there's the (somewhat) more subtle variety; anything that's bad about $THEM is exaggerated and/or given exaggerated focus, while anything that's good about them, gets denied, downplayed or explained away.

One example from fiction: In Equilibrium, the Prozium pushers present the "emotional highs" as something that can be lightly traded away for emotional stability, i.e. it's «not really worth all that much».

Or the real-life example of black Americans: When one turns out to be low-life scum, they get exposure galore on a certain forum, while the achievements of people like Morgan Freeman, John McWhorter et.al. gets as little exposure as possible. And the less said about the education-hostile environment they grow up in, the better.
