can we agree to call this the teaparty downgrade?
or the boener downgrade?

or just the GOP downgrade?

this was what they were going for right? so will they own it?

We suffered a recession and we have no recovered.  We should not cut govt spending now as it will worsen the problem (kills jobs, slows economic growth, entrenches the problem for years).  We absolutely could keep spending and should have.  We need debt reduction, but we need it when the economy is good and can take the hit of decreased spending.  Not when it's bad, that's like kicking a guy when he's already down.
