Charisma is a part of it. He speaks with passion and he does it well. He obliterates his opponents, and that plays an enormous part. If you're saying it has no intrinsic value, you're a moron.

It's not like the president has any say over that anyway. The point, for me at least, is that he believes in civil liberties and an end to interventionism abroad, and he doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks. This march we will all have an opportunity to participate in the Republican primary since the Democratic candidate is already chosen. If Ron Paul supporters get on the ball, they will be able to convince millions of people to participate based on that simple fact, and get votes out for Ron Paul to possibly make him the nominee. There's no reason any liberal or moderate would vote for anyone besides Paul when compared to the other participants. The vote is for someone who champions a return of our liberties and an end to imperialistic wars abroad which also necessarily demands the energy infrastructure to get us off of foreign oil if we are no longer able to use our big swinging dick military to cow other nations into keeping us and our dollar afloat.
