How the hell do democrats get away with saying they're the anti-war or anti-imperialism party?
WWI - Wilson
WWII - Roosevelt
Korea - Truman
Vietnam - Kennedy and Johnson
But, because of Iraq, suddenly democrats are the shining example of peace. Let's not forget all the shit Clinton did and no one gave a flying fuck about. Libya? But of course, Libya is "humanitarian." Only conservatives fight wars, huh? It's the evil businessmen who start wars, even though many businessmen were against WWII because it drains the workforce. Never mind that Eisenhower warned us of the military industrial complex.
I'm not condoning Iraq or Afghanistan. I'm just trying to be consistent. Both republicans and democrats don't care about being anti-war. But only the liberals delude themselves about it. I was actually happy with all the anti-war movement during Bush. But if Obama, and history, has shown us anything it's that liberals and democrats are only anti-war when there's a republican president. Anti-war protests are practically non-existent. I haven't seen any liberals do a serious criticism of Obama for keeping the PATRIOT Act operational, which strips our civil liberties to protect us from "terrorists." (Who we're mostly responsible for arming.) Worship Obama some more, just have the balls to admit you're hypocrites.
