I thought that statement would be self-explanatory. Women are expected to quiet house wives by a larger percentage of men than one is able to ignore. Men don't think highly of women, women don't think highly of themselves. Massive salary gaps, perception of normality surrounding beating your girlfriend, pretty much all Japanese porn has the veneer of a rape fantasy, etc. etc.
