Is it safe to register to vote anymore?

For the past few weeks, I have been wondering if it is even "safe" to register to vote anymore.

Looking at history, one of the last acts of a failing Empire (such as the USA) is the harassment, jailing, and murdering of the opposition, even among the main political parties.

So if one votes Democrat and the Republicans take over again, should we expect secret jails to be filled with "commie" democrats or vice versa with "fascist" republicans.  And it is not like any of these people will ever get out either.

Watch the movie Children of Men and you'll get an idea of what I am talking about.  Soylent Green and the Running Man are others.

I have decided to stop registering and never voting again.  I just can no longer justify doing it and it likely will shorten my lifespan at some point if I do decide to vote.

Thoughts?

OP, don't bother. The majority of the American population is under some sort of psychosis, a collective cerebral aneurysm if you will. Those that are able to think for themselves will pull their way out of this.

"America" as it is known (United States), will probably no longer exist in a few decades, and I could see it go through a period of balkanization, especially with all these various state secessionist movements going about.

Don't change these.
