Food labelling and tax

In the EU food lobbyists have successfully influenced MEPs to defeat the traffic light system of labelling.
For those that don't know categories such as Salt, fat, sugar would be given a red yellow or green color corresponding to an adult's daily allowance

Would you like to see such labelling?

The people who want to eat things because they are healthy will be delighted; the people who just eat things because they taste good will pay it little thought, just as they do today.  Most other people will be affected in less-than-significant ways.

The disorganized and imbalanced tax system is a mess and tends to promote petty manipulation (such as the aforesaid taxing of junk foods).  I favor replacing current tax systems with a wealth-based flat tax only, or a primary flat tax for wealth and a minor flat tax for income.
