So, they lost the election, they lost the prime minister and leader of the party.

Who would you like to see become head of the Labour party.
What do you think of: Diane Abbot, Ed Balls, Ed Milliband and David Milliband?

Diane Abbot - bitch on wheels, fat with heels. - Fucking hate this bitch, she's so smug all the fucking time.

Ed Balls - I'm all meh

David Milliband - He's all cuddly and would like him if not his brother

Ed milliband - Not as cuddly but is probably fucking hillary clinton on the side - He'd be awesome.

If I could have GB back I would ;_;

What were his good times?

When he was borrowing money to provide public sector jobs? In some areas of the country, 67% of people are employed in the public sector.

When the cuts fall, swathes of these people will be made redundant. Unemployment will be far, far worse than it was pre-New Labour. And it will be very much New Labour's fault.

The private sector is the same size as it was in 1997. Good luck finding a job there.

What I think was the worst indictment of Brown's Government came to light recently. In the last few months, it has emerged, Civil Servants lodged formal complaints against Government Ministers who, they felt, were spending money far too freely. They were being encouraged to commit the next Government to spend when they needed to save. The drive was to sign contracts quickly, rather than negotiate the best deal for the taxpayer. To put the size of these contracts into context: one was for 650 million poounds-worth of school infrastructure development for Labour marginal seats.

One might be able to understand (even if you don't agree with it) if the previous Government were using the money to try and buy votes. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Most of the spending was kept secret, only coming to light now that the Tory/LD coalition have moved in. The attitude of the Government was described as being "scorch the earth. Leave nothing behind. Destroy the bridges and burn the grain."

This cannot be excused. The negligence of these people is almost criminal. After this, no one should entertain the thought of Gordon Brown playing a credible role in future politics.
