Srsly, all I see is left-right butthurt and /stormfront/ racism on /new/ anymore. It's older than betty white's clam; time to move on and seek OC gentlemen. So here's my proposal, Anonymous (and namefags), you may think what you will of it:

1. Understand that left-right butthurt is not the answer. The answer is serious debate backed by facts to empirically arrive at a consensus.
2. 9/11 has more holes than a tentacle rape doujin being read by a school of dolpins, so we can debate all day, but at the of the day end most agree that the official story is bullshit in certain places. Just want answers, that's all.
3. /new/ needs to have some actual news poasted on it, frequently.
4. Haters will hate. /stormfront/ threads are best ignored.
5. Debates over real legislation would be good.

So check out this article posted on rawstory:

http //voices washingtonpost com/44/2010/02/top-house-republicans-throw-co html?wprss=44

colons and dots where appropriate, of course.

My take on the article is that Republicans and Democrats need to reach an agreement on how to conduct the televised debates and reach an empirical, progressive solution.

Here's a link so peeplz can find their Federal-level congress folks and send some angry e-mails.

Tell them to (swiftly) agree to even debates in which both parties may invite a set number of experts and present their proposals (in which field experts and economic studies should be cited, but not a crutch) to the televised audience. Preferably it would be a moderated debate or televised from the floor of the Capitol.

Tell them all they should grow up, grow a spine, and bite their lip and acknowledge when someone of an opponent party has a good, progressive ideas. They have seriously been acting like a bunch of clique-ish children, hanging out with only the rich crowd and hanging Americans out to dry. Additionally, ban the presence of healthcare lobbyists that would only cloud the debate with scare tactics and fallacious debating to bully progressive reform away from damaging their profits. Do not let corporate special interests get in the way of this reform as has been the case thus far.

Tell them that if insurance lobbyists like Lieberman and Nelson (cuz they aren't Senators in my mind, just corporate yesman dummies with CEO ventriloquists) try to get in the way of reform, just block them with cold, hard facts and shut down their fallacious arguments.

Make a clear outline that the final bill must be certified independently to:

1 Lower healthcare premiums for a majority a Americans,
2 decrease abusive corporate practices,
3 offer to insure at least 45 million uninsured Americans on AFFORDABLE coverage through job-based or government-based plans,
4 and MOST IMPORTANTLY lower long term health care costs AS WELL AS the nation's long term fiscal deficits.

So yeah, go do some e-mails.
