why did apartheid last so long

the whites went from a sizable minority to a tiny minority in 80 years... other african countries could supply the sa blacks with ak47s rpgs mortars what would they need more to overthrow the whites... its easy to recognize the enemy... the color of their uniform is the color of their skin... yet they didn't, the whites gave up themselves... i really don't understand this

I agree wholeheartedly. Although the KKK had even much more power (and members) back in the 1920s than it did in the 60s.
