I was just reading about 1848 revolution in France, and noticed a lot of similarities with what's going on in Iran.  Any history buffs who can tell me if I'm correct or not in this assumption?

French Revolution of 1848 was caused by economic issues/problems.

Mild Iranian protests; incited by Westerners; portrayed by Western media as a big deal, was caused by faggots not wanting to accept that they lost some pointless election. these things, they happen. but hey, at least Iran is more democratic than Saudi Arabia.

It was a lot more than just economic issues

Oh. Economic issues increase discontent? No shit sherlock. A better example would be Hitler's rise to power during the great depression.
