Why don't people show more creativity?

I assume people are always creative, but they seem to be lacking.  Perhaps I should move to Japan, where people are more creative.

People always creative?  No.  What is creativity?  What is imagination?  Certainly we can all spontaneously generate images in our minds and manipulate, rearrange, and mix them with other images, but can anyone generate something truly original?  If not, then creativity is just the skill with which we rearrange.  If so, then I guess I'm just not creative.  I find it interesting that you believe the Japanese are more creative than people where you live.  Many Westerners believe that Easterners are not as creative, and often call them great "mimics".  I believe this is a cultural misconception, and that creativity manifests itself pretty uniformly across cultures.
