I told this girl in high school that it made sense because the men would be distracted. Gays are not allowed in the military because of the relationships that might ensue and detract from their performance. The same is true for women. So the girl got really pissed at me as if that wasn't true and as if it was somehow offensive on my part.
I don't mind if they are in the armed forces, but they should not fill active combat rolls at this time.
