While you have a point (If you define religion as having an established code and way or way of living, atheism doesn't classifies as one.) you totally missed the point: Atheism is a BELIEF. ...that there isn't a god. ...and atheism regularly misses that point on purpose, because that makes us atheists look like are in the same boat with all "other" religions.

Many buddhist have this fanatical streak to them that Bodhidharma said ALL THERE IS TO SAY, and that he was 100% right about everything he said, because he had reached a saint status called "enlightenment" that keeps one from being karmicly reborn into life after death. Does this sound atheistic to you?
...and that's just within theravada buddhism. Within mahayana buddhism we have all kinds of dieties.
