Religion has no place in politics.

Where will these fucking politicians realize that there is such a thing as "separation of church and state"? Religion has no place in politics and yet these dumbasses believe that it brings moral fiber to the nation? Someone who isn't religious or even an atheist has better morals than they do obviously.

First off.. "Someone who isn't religious or even an atheist has better morals than they do obviously" is incorrect. A lack of organized faith does not inherently mean better morals, especially when morals are left up to opinion to begin with.

Secondly, a lot of them make the argument that the morals that they believe in and defend are morals that are in line with the bible so their 'dont murder' moral is actually just 'thou shall not murder' (or whatever the scripture reads).

Third, BIBLE BELT BIBLE BELT BIBLE BELT. If you want redneck inbred hick votes you have to talk about how strong your faith in god is. An atheist or someone who just isnt religous would instantly lose the election cause the guy on the other side would only have to attend church once during the campaign and then bam! instant bible belt votes. Now of course that didnt work quite as well for Obama cause the south is ignorant beyond belief.
