Why the fuck issue those loans in the first place? Couldn't they see that they weren't going to get paid off?
Well, they *could* see that some shit was going to go down, so they initiated this credit default swap BS, and unloaded the debt they knew was bad onto someone else, nevermind that they were destroying the economy.
I still don't understand all of it myself, namely how the national debt fits in (something to do with inflation most likely), but I do see a lot of short-sighted scumbags trying to make money through manipulation, and breaking the back of the beast that was bearing them.
