The German word zeitgeist sounds so mysterious in the first place that you can angle a lot of fools by using it in conversation.
lol Americans are fools.

It's hardly a movement, but it is a demographic of people who have seen Zeitgeist, were freaked out by its claims rather than being skeptical and critical, and went on to tell other people to watch it, which spread its popularity memetically until it went from unnotable to notable due to the Internet.
Still, there are no people actively volunteering, starting non-profit organizations, or doing anything to change the world in the name of Zeitgeist. If you go to the site to "join the movement" it simply tells you to advertise Zeitgeist more. There is no way to discuss the movement since the forums are only promised so far, and even then they will be heavily moderated to weed out views that don't conform to the author's. The movies promise global change but do nothing to further it, other than using the movie as perpetual self advertising.
Zeitgeeist Addendum is an even better example, as the author decides one utopian designer is the only solution to the world's problems and insists all roads lead to this one plan, right after spending the rest of the movie saying we should be open minded, willing to look at other viewpoints, and be wrong about things, but then you go to the website and it insists Venus Project is the definite right answer.

Zeitgeist Addendum did cover some interessting ideas but it really fails in telling you how to achieve this better new world. "Dont go to bank X and dont buy car Y" won't help that much. Also denying politics is really counterprodoctive. Democracy is not perfect but by far the best we have so far and with this tool have to work until we reach the point we can say "ok, seems like we can finally switch the system".
If they really insist in not involving "politics" they should rather search for a violent and fast solution.
Even if their plan succeeds we will need people who moderate stuff.
btw politics major lol

I find it ironic that zeitgeistfags claim to be skeptical and critical yet are not skeptical or critical of zeitgeist at all. Obvious projection is obvious.
$5 says redcream worships it

Zeitgeist does have some good points, but also a lot of logical fallacies. Why not just focus on the good points? It would be interesting to see someone objective without an agenda make one of these documentaries, believe it or not you don't have to circle jerk to get ratings.
