In theory, if the former Yugoslavian states reformed under one flag, ruled by representatives from all the states (maybe even picked a city in the dead center of Yugoslavia for its capital) it would stop any possibility of war breaking out again? Even become an EU member and a European power? Is this even possible?

I know there is still a lot of resentment between ethnic groups. Myself as a Croat i cant honestly say i hate Serbians, and i know many of by Bosniak friends feel the same, but I've heard others say the could never forgive them.

I don't want this thread to into a race war. all sides did shit things.

Yugoslavia was held together by Tito's principles of conformity and unity through strength. Much like the Roman Fasces, we are harder to break when we are bound together.

Yugoslavia fell apart during the 80s when the principles of diversity and multiculturalism were forced apon them, a population taught that their differences are trivial at best were suddenly told that being diverse is a superiority and that their culture is evil and imperialist. It's a myth that the Serbians were racist hicks who wanted to exterminate their neighbours for being different, the Bosnians and Croatians were told the exact same thing and acted in a similiar manner, it's just that the Serbians were winning before NATO intervention.
