Why are so many gay couples religious?

It just doesn't make sense to me. Here you have religion basically saying that all homosexual marriage is forbidden, an abomination of God, yet I see more gay couples claiming to be Christian or Jewish saying that when they came out. They felt God's love even more. I just do not get it. Who is the hypocrites in this argument, because I cannot tell?

How the fuck could one claim to be Christian or Jewish and still be a homosexual? Does this officially mean that they are still going to hell because they are gay, as those Christians said in the chat room when I trolled them by saying I had a gay friend who found Jesus? Or does God truly love everyone and the Bible is in fact a false book which hates on nearly everyone?

Perhaps some gays find confort in religion when their families disown them. That's sad, but true. Also gays could still be used for sperm, they do have them you know.
