I think most americans are too fat and stupid to be anything but a Civilian National Failure Force. We all know the only people that would sign up for this thing would be rednecks in git-r-dun t-shirts.

Obama is planning on making this MANDATORY for college age students. It's his version of Stalin and Hitlers "Secret Police"

Enjoy your Totalitarianism, Obamafags.

I'm all for a civilian defense force, as long as it isn't run by the government.

Oh wow, you're comparing someone to hitler. That's never been done before.

well, this time it actully makes sense because when people compared Bush to Hitler- others would become confused. It's easy to compare Obama to Hitler... they're both communist. They shear the same beliefs on how a country should function.

Yeh, that's how their thinking goes, to wit:

Republican:  Obama has the potential to be very dangerous to our liberties.

Sane Person:  Have you been asleep the last 8 years?  What about George W. bush?

Republican:  Who?  I have no idea who you are talking about.  Stupid Liberal.  Let's get back to talking about that terrible person Obama.

So? Obama is still dangerous to our liberties. All you've proved is that Republicans aren't that much better.

Yeh, that's how their thinking goes, to wit:

Democrat:  George W. Bush is dangerous to our civil liberties.

Sane Person:  Have you been asleep the last 8 months?  What about Barack Hussein Obama?

Liberal:  Who?  I have no idea who you are talking about.  Stupid neo-con.  Let's get back to talking about that terrible person George W. Bush.

Why do people in the US even do the whole party group mentality ("I'm a Republican"/"I'm a Democrat")? It's ridiculous and only encourages fallacious mindsets.

If someone in Germany said "I'm an SPD" or "I'm a CDU", people would laugh or just plain stare in confusion. Judge individuals by their words and actions, not what group they belong to.

Yeah, Bush was a fucking disaster and would have been charged with treason a long time ago in any other civilized country. But a lot of the things Obama is suggesting and planning are like out of the fucking history textbook on Hitler, Stalin, and Co. Mandatory civil service? Civilian security force? Hello?!

If this shit was going down over here, half of the population would be on the streets protesting and on strike. The government needs the people and is there to serve them. Not the other way around. And, unfortunately, they need to be reminded of that now and then.

It's your apathy and inaction that has let it come this far. And even now you're too busy pointing fingers at eachother to do anything about it. "I'm red, blue sucks"! "I'm blue, red sucks"! Imbeciles.

Please clarify where "over here" is.

Germany. Berlin to be precise. The people here love to protest and do so on a large scale whenever the government does something they don't like... I suppose it might have something to do with history teaching them a lesson as to what happens when you don't.

I knew this was going to happen, I had a dream about it. It's essentially a paramilitary police service, like the one they have in France. A softer version of the Gestapo.

People are too afraid to boo, so they clap and go along with it. Leaving their doubts in the dust. Listen to the worm of doubt, it's usually the truth.
