American High School

Now I heard somewhere that American High School is nothing more but a social breeding ground that rubs off into American society and culture. Do you we really need to change the educational system from a social training ground to one that is more about education? Everywhere you look, you see that America always focuses on High School in the media and what not. Does this need to change?

The American public education system can't be that bad, if it still manages to keep America the wealthiest and most powerful country in the world.
