There will be a brain drain, all of the US's entrepeneurs attracted here by our infrastructure and tradition of being the centre of the world's R&D will fuck off to Japan and Yurp sending any form of growth plummeting to 0, to compensate Obama would pour cash into token state R&D programs which achieve nothing except find new ways to put more energy into producing ethanol than you get out. Under McCain it will not be a pretty story due to the recession but he would employ reaganomics as a remedy which would correct the economy faster and shorten it's span.
