I know obama's already going to win, but please try to convince me to vote either way like it matters.

Vote Ron Paul since he's a white man.

I'm not even going to vote. Obama's got it locked.

If I had to choose between Ron Paul or Obama, my first choice is of course Dr. Paul
However more than anything we don't need another imperialist oil drilling president in the White House, so above anything McCain must not be elected.

This thread is proof that it was a good idea not to give 16 year olds the right to vote lol

Paul's economic policies are retarded. The gold standard would fuck us up more than it would fix us. But he is correct about out of control spending and abuse of the Federal Reserve. Obama has addressed these issues too. Obama is the only candidate with a sensible plan praised by economists.

I haven't heard anything of the sort, rather, I have heard Economists saying that Obama is likely to hurt the economy and retard growth.

I hear the sub-prime mortgage crisis mirrors the 1929 wall street crash and that Obama's policies will hurtle America into a depression instead of a brief sector-wide recession mirroring Herbet Hoover's response. If you want your family to struggle to earn enough to eat, white nationalists and aztlan raising hell and organised crime exploding vote for Obama. He certainly will "change" things.

how is that? hes going to raze taxes for the rich and lower it for the pore, so if anything it would have a possitive affect..

i might vote for obama just for that reason alone...
Then you haven't been paying attention. Obama's economic policy has been praised by more than 400 economists while McCain's economic policy is the same Bush policy that has lead to record 6.1% unemployment rate and a declining dollar.
Obama's plan is nothing but increasing the scope of the welfare system. There's no point in raising taxes in a "sensible" way, because taxes shouldn't be raised period. It's the size of the federal government that has to be reduced.
I thought all he had was simpleminded slogans. WOOP WOOP YES WE CAN! WOOP WOOP I'M FIRED UP! WOOP WOOP CHANGE!

What economic policy is "Herp Derp Stronger Dollar"
How will he achieve that?
How does a strong dollar make America a Destination for Capital?
A strong dollar stymies exports and makes imports super profitable. That drives out industry, not attracts it.

A "strong" dollar is meaningless. A SOUND dollar, however, is the bedrock of healthy economy and free, stable growth.

I was just at his website, his "plans" all seem to be lists of victory conditions (and sometimes contradict one another), without anything on how he would achieve them.
I want to see a real plan, remember, "Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance."

Read Obama's Blueprint for Change.
Sadly there's nothing on McCain's plans because he doesn't publish them because they're the same as Bush's.

I hear the republicans are trying to spin his plans into "legalize drugs".
They've been lying about all his plans so far, I don't see why they'd stop now. He supported which was intended to educated children about sexual abuse and McCain's people tried to claim that the bill was designed to teach kindergartners about sex. Even when their lie was exposed, they still keep telling it.
No one is comparing Ron Paul to John McCain so I don't even know why you brought it up.

Obama has tapped Paul Volcker to be one of his economic advisers, which is good (the strong dollar bit is very Volckeresque). However, believing that BO is going to implement policy like Volcker did is asinine. Implementation of strong dollar policy leads to increased job loss on account of sky high interest rates, a guaranteed way to lose your bid for reelection, which is what BO will be spending his entire 4 years trying to accomplish. No socialism, no saving of America, just a whole lot of money spent to ensure success in 2012.
