I think that selecting a president based on their merit would would be a great step towards finally actually realizing what America supposedly stands for: opportunity, freedom and equality.

I don't care if the next president is a 55 year old harvard educated protestant white male or a black-hispanic-asian mixed race female transexual gay atheist-jew as long as they are not chosen for something as arbitrary as their colour creed and sexuality.
