The fact that you are aware of cognitive thought and logic further reinforces my point. Everyone at one point realises they must replace comforting subjective emotional beliefs with anxiety inducing objective beliefs, some face up to these feelings cold turkey, others find healthy defense mechanisms to dealing with them which do not result in a logical fallacy and some develop unhealthy defense mechanisms that defy logic. Each unhealthy defense mechanism manifests itself in a unique way which can be spotted.
By claiming "that's how you think", which is a text book and innocent phrase that can be applied to any situation, you reacted violently in your mind, you could not even think of disproving this since it would entail thinking about the amount of proof that this is how you think. Instead you reached for the logic flag in the hope you can fool yourself into believing that you are incapable of being wrong.
