In Islam its legal for an injured plaintiff to exact physical revenge. Imagine how awesome that would be! Also, I would love to live in a society where gamblers are whipped.

You know, that was the case in the Ottoman Empire - muslims had their shariah court, christians etc. had their separate courts and issues between them were solved in "secular" courts.
unfortunately, it didn't work out really well, and they fucking collapsed.
