Scientology

Since I live in a shitty Eastern European country where there are 0 members and 0 such churches, I'm asking why the fuck is such a kooky church actually considered a 'threat'? There can't be more than 1000(0?) members ... so wtf is so special about it? It will never gain any significant ground (like at least 1%, lol), not in 100 years.

Well, maybe they're not a threat to you as you're in a tiny little place that they're not even aware of. But they're a threat to the internet. They have lots and lots of money thanks to their scamming and they have many lawyers because of it. They try to sue just about anyone who says anything negative about them. They try to bully internet companies if someone puts up an anti-scientology website on their servers.
They want to control all information regarding them.
If you truly support freedom of speech on the internet, then the practices of the CoS should offend you.
