he was up there blabbing about Austrian economics and looked like an old man whining about kids drinking on his lawn. i hope fox keeps him out of future debates

You hardly need to hope, since the MSM has been marginalizing him at every opportunity. Nothing scares the media elites like a candidate that the people like and they can't control.
Like >>3 says, enjoy your economic collapse. Voting Republicrat or Demolican all the time just ensures a 2-party meta-party (the Imperialists) will hold lasting power ... over YOU.
Like a return to the gold standard wouldn't be a collapse

1) The Gold Standard would not cause a collapse, and it could be done with the money we get by abolishing the Federal Reserve. That's the least worrying obstacle to it.
2) Ron Paul does not control Congress, and will so even less if he's POTUS.
3) Ron Paul does NOT want to RETURN to the Gold Standard.
Now that you know, you're either going to have to say how awesome he is, what a lying hypocrite you are or simply cry like a typical libfag.
Do you have any idea what you're saying or are you parroting bullshit crap?

Well, I know how the Gold Standard is supposed to work and be implemented, not a big fan of it though. Point 2) is pretty obvious. And about point 3, Dr. Paul said "I wouldn't exactly go back to the gold standard," pointing out that a "there were shortcomings with the gold standard of the nineteenth century because...it was a fixed price..."* What he wants to do is make gold and silver legal tender, as called for in the Constitution, and remove taxes on said metals. He favors competing currencies in a free market, which is not really a bad thing at all. I've read some idiots on /n/ and here claiming Ron Paul wants to force us to have a Gold Standard, therefore breaching his philosophy of freedom. Nothing could be further for the truth. It's all free market and more freedom. He wants sound money to be able to compete with fiat Federal Reserve notes. If sound money wins, good. If it doesn't, that's the way the free market went. It is also worth noting that having gold/silver as legal tender will limit the federal government from expanding because they can't fuck with those. Hope that cleared it up.
Maybe the least you could say is "FORWARD" to a Gold Standard, not "RETURN" to one, but even that would be a straw man and mischaracterization of what he's doing. Look at the video below.
Economic fascism is totally rad, bro.
Dude, lets go post some flyers on the kiosk.

Ron Paul is more conservative and republican than anyone else running for president. What's that you say? He doesn't resemble any other candidates who've ran under the conservative or republican banner in the last 50 years? That's because those words have become bastardized.

Not being in debt to the Chinese?
A government that doesn't dictate ever aspect of your life!?
Following the document our country was founded on!?
A foreign policy that causes people to not hate us!?
Allowing people keep the money they earn!?
Protecting the borders and ending illegal immigration!?
Absolutely NUTS! Who in their right mind would want to do such things? Who I ask you, who is so crazy!?
I'm God fearin' man I want my country to constantly be in pointless wars dammit! I don't give a rat's ass about civil liberties, just take more of my pay check and hand it over to Pakistan alright! Tell me who I can and can't marry! Give me a national ID card with RFID and set up check points for crying out loud! "Papers please." "YES SIR! It'll make us all safer!" I don't need my liberty, I just need another plasma screen TV and a bad mortgage.
Is anyone else concerned by the massive influence that Rupert Murdoch holds over politics in countries like the US and Britain? As the owner of 'Fox News' in America and 'The Sun'/ 'The Times' in Britain he has an immense sway over the political beliefs of their populations and here in Britain he evan used to have secret "meetings to discuss national policies" with Tony Blair. Anyone else get the feeling that this guys getting too powerful?

Rupert Murdoch achieved his position through merit so we should trust his decisions.

Sadly that doesn't mean he is any less likely to act in a manner which is entirely self-serving and thus meaning we shouldn't trust him. And for the record he didn't acheive his current status through merit at all (then again virtually nobody does). He was the privileged son of Sir Keith Arthur Murdoch- a powerful newspaper proprietor and was practically bought entry into Oxford University. After his father died, Rupert quite naturally inherited the remaining shares along with the position of managing director of 'News Limited' (Aussie paper).
