Military coupe

Just a question for all of you politically savvy people out there...
If you where a ruler of a country and stage a Coupe (Bloodless) with military forces from your own country and another, what would be the best way to annouce it? How could you make it seem like a necessary action and how would you announce complete control over the government, you being a dictator...

The best way would be to have a type of election with some changes.

1: Declare yourself an interim government before the next election to maintain law and order. Don't piss anyone off or oppress anyone, act more like a president than a dictator. Don't support any particular ideology, religion, race etc.. for the time being.
2: Create a new state position, the supreme judge, whom has no control over the country and merely acts as the guy who makes sure the government runs smoothly. Tell the media that this position is needed to fix the system that led to instability in the first place.
3: As an interim government you have free hand over the registration of political parties for the next election. For those parties that support you, bribe the fuck out of them. For parties that oppose you grab some young uppity party members, bribe the fuck out of them and declare them the party leader being voted for in the election to make sure there are few changes to your interim government.
4: When a party finally gets elected you will have a senate/parliament in which the movers and shakers are pretty much under your control.
5: Use the new cash flow to bribe the media into passing you off as a hero, create personality cult etc..
