Recently, some dumbass wrote a post accusing Ron Paul of racism in an attempt to smear his name. To ensure that there is no confusion on this emotionally-charged issue and where Ron Paul stands on the issues, I'm going to make an entirely new thread here to ensure there is no confusion.
To quote Wikipedia:
"In 2001, Paul took "moral responsibility" for the comments printed in his newsletter under his name, explaining to Texas Monthly magazine that the comments were written by a ghostwriter[53] and did not represent his views. He said the remarks referring to Rep. Jordan were "the saddest thing, because Barbara and I served together and actually she was a delightful lady."[31][53] The magazine defended Paul's decision to protect the writer's confidence in 1996, concluding, "In four terms as a U.S. congressman and one presidential race, Paul had never uttered anything remotely like this."[31] In 2007, with the controversy resurfacing,[54] the New York Times Magazine concurred that Paul denied the allegations "quite believably, since the style diverges widely from his own";[9] Paul actually criticizes racism as "an ugly form of collectivism."[55]"

So to be clear, Ron Paul DID NOT actually write the racist comments many are saying he did. The comments were written by a GHOSTWRITER. RON PAUL DID NOT WRITE THEM. If you are going to try to smear someone, please get your facts straight next time. Ron Paul is NOT a collectivist, and as the article on wikipedia points out, he criticizes racism as "an ugly form of collectivism."
