Obama says religion has place in politics

Name: Anonymous 2007-10-15 14:35

"Doing the Lord's work is a thread that runs through our politics since the very beginning," Obama said in a speech to United Church of Christ's Iowa conference.

"And it puts the lie to the notion that separation of church and state in America means somehow that faith should have no role in public life," Obama said.

"But somehow, somewhere along the way, faith stopped being used to bring us together and started being used to drive us apart. It got hijacked," Obama said, drawing applause from the delegates. "Part of it is because the so-called leaders of the Christian right are all too eager to exploit what divides us."

"I don't know what Bible they're reading. But it didn't jibe with my version," Obama said.

"My faith teaches me that I can sit in church and pray all I want, but I won't be fulfilling God's will unless I go out and do the lord's work," Obama said.

Most black organisations are retarded, but "black" churches not only have a much better reputation they actually have reasonable methods of solving problems, if it doesn't concern faith of course.

Leftist black organisations.
1: Tell blacks the rest of society is isolated from them and there is no opint in participating as they will always be at a disadvantage.
2: Subscribe to marxist, darwinian and fascist ideologies to varying degrees.
3: View democracy as a weakness to be exploited rather than a means of representation.
4: Heavy use of apologetic arguments, groupthink, emotive language and double standards to warp judgement.

Black churches.
1: Encourage participation outside of the black community affirming that it is part of America. Do not consider non-blacks to be outsiders.
2: Only subscribes to the teachings of Jesus Christ, at most comparing socialist ideals to Jesus' teachings.
3: View democracy as a fundamental element of our society that prevents tyranny and worth protecting.
4: Concerning politics, possesses only a slight left slant and does not use extremist tactics and is capable of self-criticism. Indeed people usually go to church to be told "We are all sinners. Oh lord forgive us!".
